no worries

we've been trying to tackle some wee home improvement projects this summer. you know, just shaking things up a bit. so a couple weekends ago, i went to the store and picked out a few test paint bottles and quasi graffitied my front door! i love that it is a fun welcome into our home. we've named our place 'no worries'. and that's what we expect when you walk through the door. just chill, max and relax. i love how it turned out and that this previously boring black door now bears our mark.

amandromeda summer lookbook 2013

FINALLY! i've been working on this summer lookbook for the shop for a few weeks now AND NOW I'M DONE! i'm so excited about how it turned out. a HUGE thank you to my friends for modeling and my sweet husband for photographing this little project. and just so you all know, we did have an awesome cookout after this photo shoot :)

there are some really cool spots in my downtown leftover from it's heyday back in the first half of the 20th century. this sign behind me is one of those. it's the old Ben Franklin five and dime advertisement on the side of a building i get to pass by every single day. we've got a couple more in town, but this one is by far the best. and well, it matched my outfit rather nicely. but i love these relics in our downtown. we're still trying to revitalize and breathe new life into these old buildings. it is pretty exciting seeing new stuff come in while preserving the old. i think that's part of what makes siloam springs so special. and i love my little corner of the world.

overalls and harnesses

so i decided to take some overalls out for a spin yesterday, which was kinda fun. see these are big and baggy and roomy and comfy. it felt a bit like wearing a dress but since we've been having crazy windy and stormy (read: tornadic) weather lately, i didn't have to worry about a strong gust sweeping through and showing off my lady parts. win/win i say.
and i'm pretty pumped about my new wrist harness from gage huntley. i've worn it two days in a row i love it so very much. it makes me feel like a dainty lady. 
a dainty lady who wears baggy overalls and runs screaming through town in the middle of torrential rain at 11:00 at night.
