dogwood festival

Taken with KitCam. http://kitc.am
this past weekend was our annual dogwood festival. thousands of people flock to our little corner of northwest arkansas to partake in greasy food, handmade goodies and tie-dye tees. in true dogwood fashion, it was cold and rainy the first two days. but sunday brought gorgeous sunshine and warm weather and subsequently maxi dresses, cut-off shorts and tanks. i like to think of it as siloam springs' version of coachella, sans ferris wheel. so sunday afternoon we met some friends down at the park to soak in some festival atmosphere.  everything had a distinct wet odor and the park was a mud pit, but whatever, this is what we live for. an awesome local bluegrass band played while we sat on hay bales. it was kind of fantastic.
